Dead-Spot Elimination with MIMO Technology The Wi-Fi n/b/g-certified and IEEE 802.11n draft 2.0-compliant ZyXEL NWA-3165 is a wireless LAN Access Point designed for enterprise environments. The MIMO (Multiple In, Multiple Out) feature of NWA-3165 utilizes a multiple-antenna system to take advantage of the multi-path effect in RF implementations, rather than fighting against it as conventional 802.11 Access Points did. The resulting improvements in both range and capacity provide substantially more reliable signal quality and greater bandwidth that are critical to SMB deployments.
Virtual AP for Specific Applications The NWA-3165 supports up to 4 multiple SSIDs with 802.1Q VLAN tag. This function makes the NWA-3165 perform as multiple virtual APs. The NWA-3165 also provides pre-defined voice SSID and guest SSID for optimized voice prioritization, and offers top-level security for guest access without difficulties of complicated configuration efforts.
